Hot Lunch Program

 

The vision of the Muddy Creek Charter School Hot Lunch Program is to serve fresh, nutritious lunches that incorporate produce from local farms and, whenever possible, produce from the MCCS garden.  By partnering with local farmers to produce wholesome lunches, students at MCCS will see yet another example of what it means to be “place based”.

This year we are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Chintimini Farm, which is owned by Melissa and Daniel Cunningham and located on Fern road.  The Cunninghams raise grass fed beef and pasture fed chickens, turkeys and eggs.  Their locally raised products will be featured in all lunches offered at MCCS.

Sunbow Farm will be providing the Hot Lunch Program with delicious in-season fruits and vegetables as availability allows.  Both Sunbow Farm and Chintimini Farm are less than 6 miles from Muddy Creek.

Hot lunches will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Every lunch is complete with fruit and vegetable sides, and milk.

Hot Lunch Prices

 

Regular lunch price: $2.50/lunch

Reduced lunch price: $1.00/lunch*

Free lunch price: $0.50/lunch*

* See ODE Income Eligibility Guideline.  If you would like to apply for free or reduced meals, please fill out the Free and Reduced Meals Application and turn it into the front office or complete the Online Application.

 

Hot Lunch Menu

 

April through June:

Tuesdays:  Turkey or Vegan Tacos; or Whole Wheat Bagel with Almond Butter

Thursdays: Buttermilk Pancakes (gluten free option available) with Scrambled Eggs and Sweet Potato Hash Browns; or Whole Wheat Bagel with Almond Butter
